Day 20, Meal 39

Day 20, Meal 39

My Rating:

Lunch today was modified from Day 8, Meal 15, which also had Five Cheese Marinara and was rated an 8/10. Today’s version is simply Rigatoni, Asiago Garlic Alfredo & Crispy Chicken Fritta:

This was very good, and I did enjoy the Crispy Chicken Fritta with it, although I’m fairly confident I would have liked it even more had it of had Crispy Shrimp Fritta šŸ™‚ I rate this an 8/10 as well.

DESSERT time! The 2nd to the last Dessert left on the menu to try is Zeppoli, described as “warm Italian doughnuts served with raspberry or chocolate sauce for dipping”:

These were REALLY good. First thing I noticed was how HUGE these things were. I had them pictured totally wrong in my head. These were very delicious. They were literally warm fluffy donuts dusted with powdered sugar.

Notice it says served with raspberry OR chocolate sauce for dipping. Since I needed to get the full experience I had to try both. Here is a side by side of the chocolate and raspberry sauces:

These sauces also were fantastic. And as a chocolate lover, I was SHOCKED that I actually enjoyed the raspberry sauce MORE than the chocolate variant. Super glad I tried both! And since I was only eating half today, I was even given the sauce in little containers to take home with me:

Win, Win, Win. Dessert gets a 9/10, bringing the overall meal to an 8.5 (rounded to a 9).
