For dinner tonight, I’m back in my hometown location in Inverness, FL, and the wife and kiddos are joining me! I modified my previous meal from Day 8, Meal 16 which consisted of Cavatappi, Alfredo/Traditional Marinara & Meatball/Italian Sausage. I took away the Traditional Marinara and Meatball and this was the result in a refill portion:
Delicious. I really like the Cavatappi pasta in general, and while I wasn’t quite sure how the Alfredo work pair with this combination, I thoroughly liked it. The ONLY downside was the Italian Sausage definitely took over the meal and the delicious Alfredo was less pronounced as a result. But since the flavor of the sausage was so good I couldn’t really complain. I would rate this an 8/10.
For Dessert, it was time for Lemon Cream Cake, as I’m making my way through the entire Dessert menu. This item comes HIGHLY recommended from my wife Samantha, so I was eagerly awaiting trying it:
This is described as “delicate white cake and lemon cream filling with a vanilla crumb topping”. The cake was light and flaky, the filling was very creamy, and the lemon was a good flavor without being over-powering as I don’t typically like lemon flavored stuff. It was indeed ok, but it wasn’t great. I would say 7/10, slightly falling behind the rest of the desserts I’ve tried so far, which includes Pumpkin Cheesecake: 10/10, Cookie Butter Cake: 8/10, Warm Berry Crostata: 9/10, Seasonal Sicilian Cheesecake: 8/10, & Tiramisu: 9/10. This gives the average meal a rating of 7.5, rounded up to an 8.
