Day 12, Meal 23

Day 12, Meal 23

My Rating:

Today I gave my least favorite pasta another shot, under the condition that I had to use a remaining option of 50/50 sauces left available. Fortunately, I had a combo that at least sounded pair-able: Angel Hair, Traditional Marinara/Traditional Meat Sauce & Italian Sausage/Meatball:

So one thing I instantly noticed with this dish: HUGE PORTIONS! It was just a crazy amount of pasta that I couldn’t even finish the dish. For someone that used to do competitive eating, I don’t know what happened to me! This however is a good thing!

So while this is still an improvement from the last time I had Angel Hair, sadly it wasn’t a huge improvement.  I would rate this meal a 6/10, and while they cooked it fine, the toppings were great and sauce was plentiful, I guess I really just dislike this pasta 🙁

In other news, my shipment of Popcorn came in today! Woohoo. This was from a recent fundraiser that my niece Ari did to support her cheering activities. From my family and friends that have already tried it, apparently it’s amazing.

From left to right:

My Main Cheese: Drenched in a gooey, velvety blanket of cheesy goodness.
White Cheddar Go Getter: Zesty, creamy white cheddar with clouds of hot-popped corn.
Caramel-Diem: Dripping in brown sugar, caramel and snuggles.
In a Caramel Nutshell: Toasted and caramel-glazed almonds, cashews, peanuts and popcorn.
Waddle You Do For Cookies?: French Vanilla with cookie crunch to sweeten every last bite.

…I guess I’ll need to save some extra calories or work out extra in the gym to enjoy some of these!

I also got my new Fitbit in today! The other day, my (NEW) Fitbit One just randomly died, so since I’m doing most of my tracking with it, it’s pretty important. Fortunately my wife had one I could borrow since they don’t seem to sell them anymore, but a quick call to Fitbit support got me all fixed up. They shipped me a new one with no proof or purchase (I got it from my Insurance Company) and even upgraded me to free 2-day shipping. Awesome service.

I also recently added a location map of all the Olive Garden locations I have and plan to visit. Check it out HERE. I’m off to GAINESVILLE (Alachua County) tonight with the kiddos for dinner!

Here is the Ziosk showing a cost savings of $14.61 for this meal:

Jeff

After losing 70 pounds this year, I'm going on a journey of enjoying carbs and dining out twice a day for the next 8 weeks, for free, while still living a healthy lifestyle. I'll be at the gym daily, and my goal is to not put on a single pound. "Everything in moderation, including moderation" - Oscar Wilde
