For my 3rd combination of 50/50 Sauce Week, I am trying out Fettuccine with a mixture of Creamy Mushroom/Asiago Garlic Alfredo topped with Crispy Shrimp Fritta:
This was very delicious. Plenty of mushrooms and the only thing I don’t love about the Creamy Mushroom is the lack of cheese flavor, so it’s a no-brainer to pair the two. I really like the Garlic in the Asiago Garlic Alfredo so you get a TON of flavor with these sauces combined. The Crispy Shrimp Fritta is my favorite topping, so I was glad that really worked well in this combination. Next go around, I might see if they can do double shrimp as that was the only thing that felt missing in each bite. And as always, the Fettuccine was great too.
A surprising bonus was the restaurant had a different cheese from the normal Romano grated cheese, and while I LOVE Romano, the Parmesan cheese being grated today was fantastic and potent. Excellent flavor.
